DESCRIPTION

Completely effective at neutralising static charges on virtually any surface without the need for sprays. The Zerostat 3 is highly rated for its ability to improve the sound quality of records and CDs by harmlessly removing static. The Zerostat 3 incorporates a unique piezo-electric crystal device which, as demonstrated in the video below, generates a powerful stream of negative ions with one gentle squeeze of the trigger, and an equally large positive stream on release of the trigger. In this way the negative charge, on a vinyl record for instance, is harmlessly swept away.

Constructed from durable hard plastic, it requires no batteries or refills and when used in combination with a Goldring cleaning brush will keep your vinyl collection dust free.

DESCRIPTION

The music hall mmf-9.3 turntable is a two speed, belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique triple plinth construction originated by music hall.

The distinctive design isolates the critical sound reproducing components: platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge, on the top platform, from the adjustable tip-toe feet and wiring, which are mounted on the bottom platform. The motor and speed controls are isolated on their own vibration damping base and completely decoupled from the turntable.

Sorbothane hemispheres separate each of the three platforms and provide additional suspension and vibration damping.

The mmf-9.3 comes in a high-gloss piano black lacquer finish and is available with or without a Goldring Eroica LX cartridge.

Goldring 2200 stylus is designed to fit the Goldring 2200 phono cartridge, a direct replacement when your stylus is worn - saving the cost of buying a whole new cartridge. Goldring cartridges generally last many hours until the stylus needs replacing. An indication of wear is a "duller" sound.

Simply remove your current stylus by carefully pulling it away from the cartridge and replace it with the replacement.

To ensure a record cartridge reproduces an accurate transcription of the record groove, the cartridge components must be rigidly mounted to the tone arm, whilst simultaneously allowing the tiniest movements of the diamond stylus to be transmitted, via the cantilever, to the sensing coils. The Legacy boasts an ultra low resonance magnesium metal body which is both very light and extremely strong. For convenience and rigidity, it has threaded inserts allowing the cartridge to be easily mounted and accurately aligned into the headshell. The stylus is a very low mass 'Vital' fine-line diamond, which is highly polished and gives extremely low distortion. To maintain rigidity, this is attached to a hard alloy cantilever which transfers the maximum level of detail from the diamond to the coils; the latter are hand wound using only the highest purity copper.

The Elite is an ultra high-performance low-output moving coil cartridge which incorporates all of Goldring's most time-honoured design features. These include advanced magnetic circuitry with neodymium magnet and an ultra-rigid Pocan® body. The Elite incorporates a Gyger S line-contact nude diamond stylus, providing maximum groove information retrieval and an outstandingly smooth and extended frequency response. The Swedish iron armature is hand-wound with pure silver wire which provides much higher definition than is found in standard record cartridge construction.

The Elite represents the very best in traditional British audio technology and design.

This lends them the high levels of detail associated with more expensive moving coil designs whilst retaining the convenience of a replaceable stylus and high output associated with moving magnet types. The cartridge employs a fixed samarium cobolt magnet and high output coil combination so that a very light iron/nickel cantilever end-piece can be used instead of the much heavier permanent magnet used in conventional designs. This reduces the moving mass allowing the stylus to trace the record groove more faithfully. Because of their high output, Goldring 2000 series cartridges should be used with the standard moving magnet phono input of an integrated amplifier.

The 2500 uses a nude, square shank, natural diamond stylus in a diagonal orientation with a proprietary 2SD line-contact profile. The stylus only contacts the groove wall along the short radius ridges which are so fine that it can accurately trace details down to 4 microns – enough for replay of quadraphonic records. Because the contact area is elongated along the complete side wall of the groove it is twice that of an ordinary elliptical stylus; mid-range tonality is incredibly accurate and precise and any high frequency sibilance or distortion is banished.

The E3 cartridge, representing the top of the range features the same aluminium cantilever as the E2, but benefits from a superior, bonded, super-elliptical (0.3 x 0.7 mil) stylus. This gives it better high frequency detail retrieval over ordinary elliptical (0.4 x 0.7 mil) or spherical (0.6 mil) types due to its smaller front-to-back radius. The main effect is the reduction of sibilance, especially in high level vocal recordings

The E1 cartridge, the first in the range, utilises a carbon-fibre reinforced cantilever and bonded, spherical (0.6 mil) stylus with a round shank. Carbon is an effective alternative to more premium aluminium or boron materials, producing comparable results in most entry level hi-fi applications.
