Unlike the open-back version of the PRO X, the DT 700 is the most versatile option if you want to do vocal recordings, play an instrument live, or simply use the headphones for monitoring purposes. The closed-back design of the DT 700 headphones is the most sensible option as they isolate the sound on both sides strongly, this ensures that there is no crosstalk during the recordings; plus, the playback or the beat is not captured/recorded via live microphones.

In addition to the above, when wanting to listen to your music or audio track in a noisy environment, the passive sound isolation from the closed-capsule design helps ensure that you can focus on listening with less audible distractions.

Developed in Heilbronn Germany, the new STELLAR.45 driver delivers that proven beyerdynamic sound, but at a previously unattained level of performance, for such an all-rounder headphone.  A strong neodymium magnet and a voice coil made of copper-plated high-tech wire make this possible. The conductivity and weight of the wire are perfectly balanced.

In combination with the newly developed three-layer speaker cone with integrated attenuating layer, the new PRO X headphones have a highly efficient driver system that has an impedance of 48 ohms. The transducer's fast response and detailed transient reproduction due to the lightweight voice coil ensures reliable sound without distortion, even at high sound pressure levels.

In addition, due to our newly developed PRO X absorber pads made out of acoustic damping materials that are placed in front of each driver, the treble frequencies are not only very balanced and smooth, but still very detailed.
